Territory Jurisdiction: No Territory Jurisdiction. However, applicants from Punjab, Haryana, and H.P. are advised to submit their Visa Applications at Chandigarh or Jalandhar.

Note: Effective 31st Dec 2018, applicants need to provide biometrics when submitting a new application for a visitor visa, study/work permit, or permanent residence.

Applicants scheduling a biometric appointment should note:
- Keep hands henna-free for clear fingerprinting.
- Avoid biometric appointments with temporary finger injuries or bandages.
- Wear bright colored clothing for effective photo capture. Light colors or headgear (except for religious reasons) may affect the process.
- Headgear for religious reasons should allow visibility of face, forehead, and ears.
- Only applicants are allowed inside the center, unless accompanying a child under 18 or someone needing assistance.

TOURIST

• The Applicant's valid passport and a valid passport for each accompanying family member. Each passport must have at least one completely blank page (not the last page) and be valid for at least six (6) months before travel.
• Proof of previous travel (previous passports).
• Application for a Temporary Resident Visa made Outside of Canada (IMM 5257). Applicants aged 18+ must complete and sign their own forms. Under 18, forms must be signed by a parent/guardian. After filling the form, click "Validate" to generate barcodes. Submit two original barcode pages. Photocopies are not accepted.
• If there is no given name or surname in the passport, enter the passport name in the “Family Name” field and leave “Given Name” blank. Do not write NA.
• Family Information Form (IMM 5645).
• A covering letter from the applicant.
• Two (2) photos of the applicant and each family member. Follow Photo Specifications. Write name and date of birth on the back of one photo per person. Applicants providing biometrics do not need to submit paper photographs.
• The correct processing fee (non-refundable). The $85 CAD biometric fee covers the VAC service charge if biometrics are required.
• "Use of a Representative" form (IMM 5476E) if assistance was received in preparing the application.
• Parental Letter of Consent for minors (under 18) from the non-accompanying parent. Include travel dates, contact info, and passport bio page (with signature and back page) of the non-accompanying parent.

Transit Visa - VITRA

• A transit visa is required for nationals of countries who require a visitor visa and who will be in Canada for less than 48 hours during transit to another country.
• The Applicant's valid passport and a valid passport for each accompanying family member. Each passport must have at least one completely blank page (not the last page) and be valid for at least six (6) months before travel.
• Proof of previous travel (previous passports).
