Note : - enya introduces mandatory (electronic visa application) e-Visa facility. Visa on Arrival has been discontinued from Sept 1, 2015. Unlike in the past when Indians were able to get their Visa on Arrival (VoA) in Nairobi or Mombasa, intending visitors will now have to apply for an e-Visa in advance, with processing taking as much as a week. Travellers have to apply for e-Visa via the dedicated portal - www.ecitizen.go.ke .
Effective 1st September 2015, the Applicant needs to take a printed copy of their e-visa with them, else they may be denied boarding of the flight to Kenya or denied entry to Kenya
Visa Requirements
Kenya Tourist Visa
Visa on Arrival:
- Available for Indian nationals on arrival at the airport.
- Visa fee: USD 50.
- Passenger must carry:
- Confirmed return air ticket
- Yellow Fever Certificate
- All relevant travel documents
If Applying at the Embassy:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of application.
- One visa form (photocopy allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Covering letter from applicant on company letterhead mentioning purpose and duration of stay, addressed to:
The Visa Officer, Kenya High Commission, New Delhi. - Leave letter from company (if employed).
- Travel itinerary (for group travel).
- Proof of funds or Sponsorship Declaration from Kenya.
- Hotel confirmation.
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (valid for 10 years, effective 10 days after vaccination).
- Polio (OPV) Certificate (taken at least 4 weeks prior to departure).
Visa Validity: 3 Months (Stay period given on arrival)

- Single Entry: Rs. 3,000/-
Kenya Business Visa
Visa on Arrival:
- Available for Indian nationals at the airport.
- Visa fee: USD 50.
- Passenger must carry:
- Confirmed air ticket
- Yellow Fever Certificate
- Other travel documents
If Applying at the Embassy:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of application.
- One visa form (photocopy allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- Covering letter from Indian company recommending travel, organization to be visited, and duration of stay. Addressed to:
The Visa Officer, Kenya High Commission, New Delhi. - Letter of invitation from business associates in Kenya.
- Hotel confirmation.
- Proof of sufficient funds (Bank statement for last 6 months, credit card copy).
- Return air ticket.
- Yellow Fever Certificate (valid for 10 years).
- Polio (OPV) Certificate (at least 4 weeks before travel).
Visa Validity: 3 Months (Stay period given on arrival)
For Multiple Entry Applicants:
- Must have travelled to Kenya at least 4 times previously without issues.
- Additional documents required:
- Visa application form (in triplicate)
- Valid passport
- Three passport-size photographs
