Lebanon Visa Information (Tourist & Business)

How to Apply

There are two ways to apply for a Lebanon visa:

1. Via Lebanese counterpart: The Lebanese host applies to the Lebanese Immigration Department. If approved, Lebanon issues an Arabic approval which the Embassy in New Delhi translates into English — applicant can travel on this translated approval (approx. 2 working days).
2. Via Embassy, New Delhi: Submit documents to the Embassy of Lebanon, New Delhi. The Embassy refers the application for approval in Lebanon — this can take more than a month.

Tourist Visa

• Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of visa issuance (include photocopies of the first 3 pages).
• Two visa application forms, duly filled & signed (one application form per person if required by Embassy).
• Two recent coloured passport-size photographs.
• Original covering letter addressed to the Consular Section (applicant/company letterhead as applicable).
• Invitation letter if staying with friends/relatives, or confirmed hotel booking if staying in hotel.
• Confirmed return/onward air ticket for the entire journey (no open returns accepted).
• Bank statement for last 3 months showing minimum balance approx. Rs. 5,00,000 or other proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay.
• Embassy may request additional documents and call applicant for interview.
• Important: A Lebanese visa will NOT be issued on any passport stamped with an Israeli visa/seal. A Lebanese visa becomes invalid if an Israeli stamp is placed later.
• Note: Visa fee depends on the approval from Lebanon — please check with Embassy after approval is received.

Business Visa

• Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of visa issuance (include two photocopies of ID pages).
• Two visa application forms, duly filled & signed.
• Two recent coloured passport-size photographs.
• Confirmed onward/return air ticket.
• Proof of funds (bank statement for last 3 months).
• Brief statement about the Indian company and its products; letter from Indian company.
• Indian Chamber of Commerce letter required.
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation of Indian company (ROC issued).
• The Embassy may request additional documents and will refer the application for approval in Lebanon.
• Important: A Lebanese visa will NOT be issued on any passport stamped with an Israeli visa/seal.

Visa Fees

Processing Time

• Tourist: 9–10 working days (subject to Embassy processing and Lebanese approval route).
• Business: 19–20 working days (applications referred to Lebanon may take longer).

Reminder: Incomplete applications or passports with Israeli stamps will be refused. Embassy may ask for additional documents or personal presence at any stage.
