Note: All visa and attestation services must be submitted via Chinese Visa Application Service Centers (CVASC) from August 6, 2018.

Tourist (L-Visa)

• Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity, at least 2 blank visa pages.
• A photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
• One completed Visa Application Form.
• Copy of Return Air ticket.
• One recent colored passport size photo (48 x 33 mm) with a light background.
• Personal written statement (covering letter with details such as place to visit, name, address and contact number of the inviting/contact company/person).
• Certification letter from the working unit of the applicant (with name, contact number, and income statement).
• Original copy of recent 6-months bank statement of the applicant.
• Ordinary passport holders must submit applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) where available.
• Documents showing itinerary including round trip air ticket booking record.
• Proof of a hotel reservation.
• An Invitation Letter for Tourist issued by a relevant entity or individual in China containing:
  • Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.).
  • Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, places to be visited, etc.).
  • Information on the inviting entity/individual (name, contact number, address, official stamp, and signature).
• For repeated applicants: include reasons for revisit and plans for this visit in personal statement.
• Group travelers require an invitation letter issued by a travel agency.
• Invitation letter can be fax, photocopy or computer printout; original may be requested. Individuals must also provide a photocopy of Chinese ID.

Note: Embassy may ask for additional documents or personal presence at or after submission.

Business (F-Visa)

• Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity, at least 2 blank visa pages.
• A photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
• One completed Visa Application Form.
• Copy of Air ticket.
• One recent colored passport size photo (48 x 33 mm) with a light background.
• Personal written statement with visit details.
• Official invitation letter issued by a relevant unit or individual in China containing:
  • Applicant info (name, gender, DOB, etc.).
  • Visit info (purpose, arrival/departure dates, visit places, relations, and financial source).
  • Inviter info (name, contact, address, official stamp, and signature).
• Multiple entry visa applicants must provide previous Chinese visa copies on one A4 page.
• Visa type must match purpose of visit; misuse may lead to consequences.
• Invitation letter may be fax, photocopy or printout; original may be required.

Transit (G-Visa)

• Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity, at least 2 blank visa pages.
• A photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
• One completed Visa Application Form.
• One recent colored passport size photo (48 x 33 mm) with a light background.
• Personal written statement with visit details.
• Certification letter from working unit (name, contact number, income statement).
• Original copy of recent 6-months bank statement.
• Submit applications at CVASC where available.
• Confirmed onward ticket (air/train/ship) with date and seat to destination.
• Invitation letter may be fax, photocopy or printout; original may be required.

Note: Embassy may ask for additional documents or personal presence at or after submission.

Student (X-Visa)

• Original and photocopy of Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW201 or JW202).
• Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity, at least 2 blank visa pages.
• Photocopy of passport data page and photo page if separate.
• One completed Visa Application Form.
• Copy of Return Air ticket.
• One passport-size photo (48 x 33 mm), light background.
• Cover letter with visit and school details.
• Certification letter from employer with contact and income info.
• Recent 6-month bank statement.
• Submit at CVASC if available.
• Flight and hotel bookings.
• Original and photocopy of Admission Letter from Chinese school/entity.
• Holders of X1 Visa must apply for residence permit within 30 days of entry.

Note: Embassy may ask for additional documents or personal presence at or after submission.

Work Permit (Z-Visa)

• Original passport with at least 6 months validity, 2 blank pages, and relevant Chinese visa copies (for multiple visa).
• One completed Visa Application Form (online or manual) signed by applicant.
• One passport photo (48 x 33 mm) with light background.
• Cover letter from employer/institute addressed to Chinese Embassy with applicant’s details and travel info.
• Proof of legal stay/residency for non-Indian nationals.
• For children of Chinese descent: birth certificate, nationality renunciation, and parental statement.
• Submit at CVASC where applicable.
• Photocopies of education and professional qualification certificates.
• Visa type must match purpose of travel; otherwise, applicant bears consequences.
• One of the following:
  • Employment Permit + Invitation Letter/Confirmation Letter of Invitation.
  • Foreign Experts Permit + Invitation Letter.
  • Resident Representative Office Registration + Invitation Letter.
  • Approval for cultural performance or petroleum work invitation.
• Applicants must apply for residence permit within 30 days of entry.
• Company invitation letter with staff details and official stamp.
• If required, submit documents for medical exam (valid for 3 months).
• Third-country nationals: embassy letter explaining India stay, identity, and occupation.
• Photocopies of passport, Indian visa (6-month minimum), and residence permit.

Note: Embassy may ask for additional documents or personal presence. Processing usually takes 4 working days. Urgent visa: 2 working days.

Note : -

1. Visa fee are collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy by VFS.
2. Application Service Fee are charged by the Center and they are non-refundable.
3. The total amount of the fees to be paid by an Applicant = Visa Fee + Application Service Fees in cash.
4. If the Applicant requests Courier Delivery Service of his / her processed application, he / she need to pay visa fees + application service fees + courier delivery fees (INR 200/-) in advance at the time of submission.
5. For Express Service (next working day collection), application should be submitted your before 11:00 am, and be picked up after 2:00 pm the next working day.
